Have fun. Dig deep. Stretch. Dream Big. Know, though, That things worth doing Seldom come easy, There will be times when you want to Turn around Pack it up and call it quits Those times tell you That you are pushing yourself And that you are not afraid to learn by trying. Persist. Because with an idea, Determination and the right tools, You can do great things. Let your instincts, your intellect And let your heart guide you. Trust. Believe in the incredible power Of the human mind Of doing something that makes a difference Of working hard Of laughing and hoping Of lasting friends Of all the things that will cross your path Next year The start of something new Brings the hope of something great. We Miss God’s Blessings…….. .ღ.☆¸☆´¸¸.•´¯`♥¸ℒo√ε

A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For
many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s
showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told
him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited
signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the
morning of his graduation his father called him into his private
study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine
son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son
a beautiful wrapped gift box.

Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man
opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily,
he raised his voice at his father and said, “With all your money you
give me a Bible?” and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy
book.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in
business.
He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his
father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He
had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make
arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had
passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He
needed to come home immediately and take care things.
When he arrived at his father’s house, sudden sadness and
regret filled his heart.

He began to search his father’s important papers and
saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With
tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. As he
read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope
taped behind the Bible.
It had a tag with the dealer’s name, the same dealer who had the
sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation,
and the words…PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God’s blessings because they are not
packaged as we expected?

Memories of Glenn

I guess today is one of those days, that I need to remember someone who is very dear to my heart.. My daughter’s Father.. Glenn… We were both so young, and didn’t let the world stop us at all. WE were inlove and thought we had the world in our hands. I felt so safe with him.. He was a tall and strong man, and I never could get enough of making him turn red.. Glenn was always so quiet, and yet he had a heart of gold. He never allowed me to be that wimpy wife.. When we had to carry water to our tiny little home in Arcadia, he made me do it!.. Now I’m not saying I loved it.. In fact it was the opposite.. I was mad at him for making me do it. I thought how dare you make little `ole me doing something like that. And then before I knew it, I was learning how to grow a garden, hunt, get firewood, fishing, camping, hill climbing, and butcher meat.. yuck!!! Glenn loved , or should I say he had a addiction to NEW TRUCKS… I think within the time we were married we owned a beautiful two tone deep green truck, short wheel base.. It was beautiful.. And then we had a brown, new short wheel base, and then a black, brand new short wheel base, and then a brand new Black Trans Am… I was shocked when he bought that one… I never thought I would see the day he gave up a truck, for a sports car… But that didn’t last long..  We had two beautiful daughter’s together, and they were, and have always been the apple in his eye.. If anyone could melt his heart they did.. I’ll never forget when he bought them their first pair of cowboy boots.. Now I knew that Cheryl would just love them, but Michelle.. She sat down and put them, on and you would have thought she was wearing the ruby red slipper’s.. If my dad bought these for me, well then ”I will love them…  Our marriage was short lived, and I know that Glenn will always be a part of me.. Apart or together.. He never once missed a month on his child support, in fact, if they ever needed anything else, he made sure they had it. Not many women can say this.. I can.. He love’s his guns, and he loves to hunt.. If you could set him in the middle of some quake tree’s and a camp fire burning, he would be in heaven..  There’s so much I’d love to share, but tomorrows another day.. I am so grateful that he is still here with us today, and hoping for many more wonderful years ahead…

I am looking forward to spending this up coming holiday season with him, and his family and my daughter’s.. It will be a time for loving him, and creating memories for him, his family and my daughter’s.. I am so excited for this Thanksgiving Season to arrive…  “ Daddy  don’t Let Your Babies grow up to be Cowboys…. Michelle and Cheryl I love you tonz.. And grateful for your strength through all of this.. I hope you can remember this cute little song.. It use to be your favorite.. xo Love Mom…

Happy collision of chaos.

Always a part of my Ahhha moments….

Let me tell you a little something about myself.

For some reason, I have eyes that want to see everything in fairy-tale vision.

I imagine that my house should be tidy and beautiful all the time. It should be super cute and styled just right for that imaginary magazine cover in my mind. I have a disease I mention from time to time called magazine cover-it is. But in spite of that terrible sickness, my life rarely looks like the cover of a decorating magazine. Corners of it might appear that way sometimes, until you turn around and see what was behind the camera.

Most of the time, my home is a happy collision of chaos.

While my mind might picture a perfectly coordinated and styled magazine cover life, my real life reflects more of what I’d call “the lived in look.”

Whether it is the unexpected emergencies that throw our life for a loop or the chaotic beauty we invite in to turn our house upside down, our home usually feels slightly bent, occasionally stained, somewhat disorganized — yet we are blessed by all the chaos …  life, friends, family, connections and living our God-given dreams. The chaos means we are living a full and meaningful life.

Embracing of our real life is where true beauty is found.

Tell me about your real life.

Can you see the beauty and blessings in your “lived in” look?

Fabulous Friends!
