High~ lites
Loved ƬIFFΛnY the day I met her on FB….
When I first met Tiffany, the L.A. Skinny Coach, I went to her page to learn more about her. I love learning from others so I looked to see what she was involved with in her life. I went to her website and found the post that I would like to share with you. This post on support told me she has something very special to offer to others. I continued building my friendship with her and on several occasions I would go back to her website. There was something about her that just kept tugging at me. I always thought she was so beautiful, yet I knew that it was much more than her beauty that drew me in.
I felt that she was genuine and that she really cares about others, just like me. After a while I had made a decision that I was going to build myself my own personal website where I can share fun and exciting things about others and my self. I wanted to spot ~ lite her. I knew month’s ago, that she would be my very first spot lite guest. I love her posts and felt that
others would enjoy her as much as I did. I started on a new journey this past July. One of the changes that I made was learning to love myself more- and my body. I had a special opportunity to be involved in a 12-week bootcamp with Kathy Smith. This opportunity allowed me to be part of a group. And this is where I realized belonging to a group of people who support you -just like the support team that Tiffany, the L.A. Skinny Coach has started, would help build my confidence in my self. This was the support that I would need to accomplish my goals. Time and time again I would be drawn back to Tiffany’s website. I never wanted to lose sight of this post that I had found months prior. Tiffany has no idea how many times I searched her out and what an impact just one post could influence someone. Below you will find a copy of her post. I hope you will visit her website learn about her, share with others, her ability to reach out and talk to the world…

Skinny is not about a size zero. Skinny is about being in control of what you eat more than what your body looks like.
Skinny is about how your body feels. Skinny is having the ability to be at a healthy weight – looking great is a fabulous side effect. It is no wonder America is obese. I lost 100 pounds over a decade ago and have dedicated my life and career to helping women learn how to be free from their eating issues and get their skinny back.

I love the Skinny Girl group. Once a week all my local skinny girls finish up their dinner, get their kids situated with dad, jump in the car and head over to Venice for our Skinny Girl group. It is my favorite night of the week. We sit and chat about our week– our struggles and successes and our lives in general.
The other night, one skinny girl shared how she is realizing that her daily trip to he ice cream shop was more about the experience and the habit than it was about the ice cream. We brainstormed for some healthy ideas and suggested that she stop at a coffee shop after work every day for a cup of tea instead of the ice cream shop.
The idea works because her longing is not about the ice cream. Her cravings are long gone; she does not even really want the ice cream – she wants the experience. Expectancy is the cue that is driving her to Baskin Robbins. Chronic exposure to this stimulus-response experience has conditioned her to desire the ‘experience,’ not the ice cream. The ice cream is the reward that strengthens the association between the experience and the reward.
It will take some time for this association to be broken, but it will. All she needs is time and support.
We all need support, particularly women. Women who have a support group cheering them on are more successful with weight loss than those that don’t.
Why? Because, as a new friend of mine aptly put, “we all need a chorus to get through this life.” So true! We all need a group of people standing behind us singing and chanting that we are beautiful, wonderful and we can do it. Our chorus does not have to like our song or agree with our choice of music, they only have to sing.
Make sure that you have your chorus!…
